Cards for special events

This is my oldest baptism invitation. I wanted something other than the tradition card so I came up with idea from the help of a friend...Thanks Natalie.
This past weekend was another baptism. I took the idea from the first and changed it up a bit. I like the subway art so I used that on the front. (hope you can see it under the 8)

It's fun to create something for someone special and especially when you have one idea in mass production.

so simple so quick.....birthday card

This can be done with any scraps of paper you have in your scrap pile (as long as they match - so it turns out cute)

Leftover ribbon, leftover scraps of paper and a little "happy birthday" stamp too.

Birthday Card Invites

This can be used for a little girls birthday invitations or even a card on a gift!
I went crazy with card making but love how simple there are to make....especially when you make mass quantity of the same card.

I just 1 - 12 x 12 paper cut it into equal papers to make 12 cards, adhered each rectangle with a little glue to each card, sewed it down at a diagonal, stamped the cute cake on a white piece of card stock, glued that down and added cute ribbon tied in knots. So simple so cute!

baby cards

These cards can go either way to use a the card on a gift or as the gift for "thank you cards" to all who came to the baby shower for the new mommy.

Found matching paper and got the cute little baby face (sizzix cut out) along with the square. Glued down for design I liked and then stitched around the edges with sewing machine. Then added the rubbed look with ink around the edges.

Very simple very easy.
Patterned paper 3/4 the way of the card, added a strip of matching ribbon on bottom then I used a tag (stamp is from Stampin' Up)
. If you don't have stamps use embellishments.

It took me longer to find the papers I wanted to use then to make the cards. I make a dozen of each design. Better made in quantity, then one at a time.

Father's Day card with treats

I cut a 12 x 12 paper in half

Folded it into a tri-fold card
(the short side is 1/2 inch and long side is 3 5/8 inches. Note: I had to cut off a small strip of paper to make it even)
Then added the cute stuff

Book mark, candy, and a little note pad for the kids to leave him a sweet note.

Cost: nothing had everything on hand
Time to create: 30 - 45 minutes

Here's another idea for daddy too!

Birthday Card Invites

Design by my 6 year old......Love it when they have an idea and want to create it.
I started with a square found the center of the paper folded opposite ends into the center of the square together. Then did the same thing with the other two ends to create an envelope. All the important party info was inside the envelope.
added a circle and a cute stamp to the center on the front.
My daughter is turning 6 this year and since this is her first year in school she gets a friend birthday party. My husband & I decided early on that we didn't want to give birthday parties every year since we have 4 children. So we decided that the kids get a party their first year in school, when they turn 8, and 12, and 16....worked out well so far. On the other birthdays we have a family party and they get to decided where/what to eat and we have a mini party but just family. WE LOVE IT!
