Homemade freezer pops

Yummy, Yummy!
Summer time fun for all....

We have been thinking about this for a while but had to put a little thought into it. It ended up being easier that we thought.Carrie and her girls made these freezer pops with crystal light. She used the food saver bags and cut them at the black slash mark (I think its about 1 1/2 - 2 inches between each mark). Cut into strips (to look like the freezer pops) and sealed both sides, then cut one side of the short ends and added Crystal Light 3/4 the way up. Her trick to seal was to place the filled freezer pop hanging over on the edge of her counter and just sealed, not vacuum sealed, just sealed the edge. Placed the pops in the freezer lying down flat and presto.
One enormous freezer pop....yummy yummy!
We also thought we could try yogurt too!
Had to show you a comparison of how "big" these really are.

Grocery Reusable Bags

I really Like by bags From Ikea. Very durable and larger than the normal bag 17 3/4 X 14 1/4 I leave the bags in the back of my car and love that they all fit into one bag.

For a while I've come home from the geocery store with produce and think why have I not changed to reusable bags for them too? So I started looking for something I could use and found these mesh bags. Well since they where only a $1 (4 in the pack making them .25 each) happen to found a local dollar store. I thought I'd give these a try.Light weight with a draw string.I think they will be perfect and if they don't hold up well it was only a $1.

How do you get your bread out of the pan?

Do you have a hard time getting your bread out of the loaf pan? I did until I came up with this....you can use parchment paper or wax paper. Spray the pan as you would normally. Take the strip of parchment or wax paper and fold into thirds in the center of the paper making it small enough to fit in the pan. Lay the parchment/wax paper in the loaf pan and spray with Pam (or which ever you use), pour batter over the paper. When the bread is done let it cool as recipe would require then lift the paper handles up and pull the bread out. Sometimes you may need to take a knife on the area where the bread is touching the pan and separate it. And there you go.....easy!Plus clean up is nothing. Now go and try it the Discovered way!

Have you ever tried a Smore Sandwich?

YUMMY ! YUMMY!Four ingredients: Bread, Peanut butter, Marshmallow Cream, & Nutella Spread Peanut Butter on one slice of bread and Nutella on the other slice.

Add the Marshmallow Cream on top of the Nutella. (it spreads better and easier on the Nutella verses the peanut butter)

And there you go.............yummy to my tummy! Not knock it until you try it.

Discovered Style on a Recipe Box

I love my new Recipe Box

Check out the where I got the design idea at

http://www.sistersstuff.blogspot.com/2009/08/recipe-box.html

When out on my adventure in blog world I came across this amazing blog Sisters Stuff,
http://www.sisterstuff.blogspot.com/ and when I saw their home page with the cute box I remembered I purchased that same box (at Robert's Craft in Utah) and haven't done anything with it yet. It had a ding in the corner but the paper covers it great.I heart ribbon! My girlfriend and I share ribbon all the time so next time you need something ask a friend. To bad the handle wouldn't stay up so I had to get creative to make it stay to take the picture. I took a paper clip & bent it to hold up the handle to take the picture. The tabs/dividers for inside the box.Do you recognize what I used to make the dividers?Old Manila folders!

So thanks to Sister Stuff for challenging me to get projects done. Here's my version of the Recipe box. The inside of the box is still a work in progress, the recipes I mean and they probably will be for the next year.

cook the chocolate pudding according to the instructions. Let cool a few minutes, then stir in 1 chocolate cake powder mix. Mix well and spread in a 9x13 greased and floured cake pan. Top with chocolate chips and nuts. Bake @ 350* for 30 minutes.

WAFFLE IRON COOKIES

1/2 c melted margarine
1 c flour
3/4 c sugar

mix margarine, sugar, eggs and chocolate together. Then add flour and vanilla. Place a heaping spoonful onto a hot (sprayed with Pam) waffle iron. Let cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Lift off with fork cook and frost if desired, which I recommend. (can frosting works great)
