Repurpose t-shirt for 4th of July

Fun and easy!this is an old shirt that has stains and I was just going to throw it out and thought why not cover up the stains and change it up a little.I started with these....Paint tip: I keep my paints in a photo box and can only see the top so I dabbed a little of the paint from the bottle on the top so I can always see what color it is.
finished product!
Did a little change to the sleeves....laid them flat made a cut 1/2 inch up into the sleeve
cut again but this time parallel with the bottom of the sleeve 1 1/2 inchestook the cut strips and tied them into a square knot
Cute little changes to an old t-shirt

Homemade freezer pops

Yummy, Yummy!
Summer time fun for all....

We have been thinking about this for a while but had to put a little thought into it. It ended up being easier that we thought.Carrie and her girls made these freezer pops with crystal light. She used the food saver bags and cut them at the black slash mark (I think its about 1 1/2 - 2 inches between each mark). Cut into strips (to look like the freezer pops) and sealed both sides, then cut one side of the short ends and added Crystal Light 3/4 the way up. Her trick to seal was to place the filled freezer pop hanging over on the edge of her counter and just sealed, not vacuum sealed, just sealed the edge. Placed the pops in the freezer lying down flat and presto.
One enormous freezer pop....yummy yummy!
We also thought we could try yogurt too!
Had to show you a comparison of how "big" these really are.

baby doll wants one too!

Do you remember my previous post, of my little girls Dream Room? HERE
Well I knew that there dolls would want one too! I made the little blankets with the scraps from there quilts. Don't look to close I had to use some uneven fabric pieces to make them work. Oh well the girls love them and so do there dolls.

coffee table to kids toy treasure

You might recognize this table if you are a Ikea shopper. I love there "as is" section and found a table just like this but in off white and turned it in to this.....Cost: under $100 ~~ $42 for the table, $5 each for the Lego mats (8*5= $45)
Time to make: 15 minutes (gluing down the Lego mats to the table) table was already assembled since it was in the "as is" section.

Not to bad for a kids Legoland creation station!

Swimmers Diapers Tip

Have you heard that you can reuse the swimmer diapers?

As long as there isn't any extra present in them you can reuse it again and again.

All you have to do is turn it inside out and throw it in your washer, yes your washer.

I wish someone told me this tip when I still had kids in diapers and just threw those things in the trash. So I'm sharing my discovery with you. Hope it saves you money this summer.

Father's Day card with treats

I cut a 12 x 12 paper in half

Folded it into a tri-fold card
(the short side is 1/2 inch and long side is 3 5/8 inches. Note: I had to cut off a small strip of paper to make it even)
Then added the cute stuff

Book mark, candy, and a little note pad for the kids to leave him a sweet note.

Cost: nothing had everything on hand
Time to create: 30 - 45 minutes

Here's another idea for daddy too!

Girl Party!

Flower CupCakes

On top of the flower cupcakes my sweet little girl wanted a princess cake. Well I've made them before but when I got everything ready the cake was to small (the dress portion of the cake) so I had to improvise.
Thank goodness she loved the butterfly candies I found and was willing to make a butterfly cake instead.
